Contraindications are situations or illnesses in which laser therapy either has a negative effect, unknown effect, or just simply not advised, approved, or recommended for safety purposes. These include:

  • Cancer or growth
  • Actively bleeding site (unless bleeding stops)
  • Areas in and around the eyes
  • With or after steroid use
  • pregnant technician administering the laser therapy
  • Other common sense safety precautions may apply at veterinarians discretion
  • Your veterinarian will let you know if there are others
